Servomac supply a range of galvanised mild steel, stainless steel, and copper pipe systems for above ground drainage, service pipework, pumped, dry and wet risers, bespoke fabrication and large bore traps.

 

System design conforms to EN 12056:2000 Code of Practice for Sanitary Pipework and BS3868:1995, specification for prefabricated drainage stacks.

Advantages of a metal system:

 

- Pipe work is non-combustible, therefore expensive methods of fire stops/fire ducts

  are avoided. (Gap between pipe and slab will need back filling to prevent fire from

  spreading around the outside of the pipe)

- Low noise transmittance

- Robust nature of a steel system allow for blockage removal with out damage to the

  pipe

- Multiple branch and boss positions allow for all toilet and bathroom layouts

- Pipe work can be manufactured from supplied CAD drawings or site measure by

  experienced Servomac engineers

- Long life. Standard pipe work minimum 60 years. Confirmed by BRS tests (Building

  Research Station ‘Report of Special Investigation No. 2158’). The long life of

  galvanised steel allows for stacks to be incorporated into future refurbishments with

  out the need for the whole riser to be replaced after a number of years.

Method of jointing

  • Drainage; Prefabricated pipework with plain square ends, jointed using a one piece stainless or galvanised steel body, bolted coupler with EPDM rubber gasket.
  • External RWP; Prefabricated pipework joined with welded collar and spigot slip joint with neoprene rubber gasket.
  • Prefabricated square/rectangular hollow sections joined with welded internal dry fit slip joint.
  • Prefabricated pipework with plain square ends, jointed using a one piece stainless or galvanised steel body, bolted coupler with EPDM rubber gasket.
  • Pressure; Prefabricated pipework with plain square ends, jointed using a one piece stainless or galvanised steel body bolted 16 bar rated coupler with EPDM rubber gasket.
  • Flanged - Pipes shall be joined with welded 16 bar raised face flanges, jointed using hexagon nuts, bolts and synthetic rubber gasket.
  • Dry/Wet Riser; Prefabricated galvanised mild steel pipework with ring rolled pipe ends, joined with a two piece bolted coupler with synthetic rubber gasket.

  • Pipes;  Metric Thin Wall, BS EN 10217-7 Grades 304L or 316L
  • Schedule 10S, ASTM A312 TP 304L or 316L
  • Fittings;  Metric Thin Wall, BS EN 10253-3 Grades 304L or 316L
  • Schedule 10S Fittings, ASTM A403 TP 304L or 316L

Method of jointing

  • External RWP; Prefabricated circular/square/rectangular hollow sections joined with welded internal dry fit slip joint.
  • Prefabricated pipework with plain square ends, jointed using a one piece stainless steel body, bolted coupler with EPDM rubber gasket.
  • Pressure; Prefabricated pipework with plain square ends, jointed using a one piece stainless steel body bolted 16 bar rated coupler with EPDM rubber gasket.
  • Fixed Flanged - Pipes shall be joined with welded 16 bar raised face flanges, jointed using hexagon nuts, bolts and synthetic rubber gasket.
  • Loose Flanged - Pipes shall be joined with welded pressed collar with loose backing flanges either Mild steel Epoxy coated or Stainless Steel, jointed using hexagon nuts, bolts and synthetic rubber gasket.
  • Dry/Wet Riser; Prefabricated stainless steel pipework with ring rolled pipe ends, joined with a two piece bolted coupler with synthetic rubber gasket

 

 

Copper:

  • Pipes; EN1057 R290 Table X.
  • Fittings; Copper designed for jointing copper tubes to EN 1075.
  • Size(s); 54mm-219mm diameter.
  • Finish; Self-colour.

 

Method of jointing:

  • Drainage; Prefabricated pipework with plain square ends, jointed using a one piece stainless steel body, bolted coupler with EPDM rubber gasket.
  • Fixed flanged; Pipes shall be joined with soft solder or hard solder (brazing alloy) 16 bar flanges, jointed using hexagon nuts, bolts and synthetic rubber gasket.
